Field Study

This field study takes place at the Kenilworth Racecourse. Fynbose boasts more biodiversity than most biomes in the world. The Mediterranean climate of the Cape, along with frequent fires and nutrient-poor soils, has shaped signaficant plant adaptations, resulting in exceptionally diverse flora. Wetlands are equally remarkable ecosystems. They improve water quality, help prevent flooding and support a wide range of interdependent wildlife species. Join us in hands-on activities as we uncover how wetlands perform thesse vital functions and explore the incredible species richness of lowland Sand Fynbos.
