Conservation of Artefacts

We do our best to ensure that our items from the past are well taken care of.  This involves

• Making sure everything is clean and presentable
• Repairing broken items
• Checking for and guarding against insect damage
• Keeping out UV light
• As far as possible controlling the interior climate in terms of moisture content and heat
• Keeping the handling of sensitive and fragile artefacts to a minimum
• Using cotton gloves when handling equipment
